April Showers Bring May Flowers

Screen Shot 2020-04-24 at 4.09.59 PMApril may be spent at home and May will bring more unknowns. That’s how the saying goes, right? Regardless of what’s happening in the world, you can continue to curate a beautiful world within your home and one quick way to do that is with flowers.

Real or fake, bunches or stems, flowers will bring a refreshing, encouraging energy to the indoors or outside of your space.

Think Color

Quick: what colors automatically make you feel cheery? Perhaps bright pink makes your heart soar or sunshine yellow gives you a smile. When picking out flowers, choose blooms that incorporate colors that will intentionally lift you up.

You might also consider what colors aren’t traditionally used in your decor. Vibrant purples will really stand out in rooms full of neutral hues.

Plant Pretty

Get outside and take a look at your curb appeal. Where can you plant flowers to add a new element of fun? Consider lining walkways with low maintenance beauties or focus on empty areas on either side of your front door.

Have landscaping in place that you don’t want to mess with? Go for window boxes or hanging pots that will add to what’s already there without uprooting the overall look.

Family Fun

If you’re just about losing your mind being at home, working on flowers together may be the excitement you need. Nothing pairs better than little kids and dirt so get digging and embrace the mess. Want to attempt to keep things clean?

Teach older kids how to make a festive floral arrangement or press flowers in books for an educational yet fun afternoon activity.
