You can use what you already have at home to decorate for the 4th of July this year, especially if you’re not looking to spend a lot of money on decorations. Have kids go on a scavenger hunt for everything in patriotic hues and then decorate accordingly. Be on the lookout for throw pillows, blankets, balloons or toys, pinwheels, fake flowers, bows from holidays past, and anything nautical or flag themed, of course.

Another fun family activity for the 4th of July is to DIY decorations using paint, streamers, paper or canvases, burlap, jars, and other arts and crafts supplies.

Want to make it even sweeter? Use candy and baked goods to set the scene (and the table!) for a festive look that also has dessert done and ready for the day.

However you decorate, the most important thing is being healthy and with loved ones, when possible, while celebrating what truly matters.

From our family at HHC Living to yours, we wish you a happy, safe, and fun July 4th, 2020!
